Kim has studied art at Paradise Community College and she is a member of the Arizona Artists Guild, and Arizona Pastel Artist Assn. She has had a fascination with Jewelry since she was a child and has been creating jewelry designs for 20 years.
Recently, Kim began creating a different jewelry medium of natural stone. Through research she has learned about natural stones, where they are found, what they are made of and the history behind their uses. She enjoys finding rare and unique stones to create beautiful designs. No two pieces of jewelry are exactly the same, just as no two people are the same.
She likes to use multiple mediums for paintings, to express her views. The feeling of each piece guides her to the medium, color and style that will accomplish her vision. Kim's work tends to show an Abstract, Impressionist style, with a diverse color palette. In her art Kim likes to provide a different view of nature, and enjoy the use of contrary colors for vibrancy. Her favorite pieces have texture and depth.
The name KCD art, developed through the desire to blend her signature into her painting by using her initials. Angel Kisses, LTD. came to Kim while she was sleeping. She had been searching for the right name for her jewelry designs and Angel Kisses felt right.
